L Plus started his childhood career in music taking training in Flute and Guitar, but made his mark as a Drum & Bass DJ in 1998 at the University of Architecture in Bratislava where he founded the Trademark DJ crew with two close friends. He started to play at local parties and although the Slovakian D&B scene was small he soon became extremely well known throughout the Slovak and Czech scenes. L Plus has played at many festivals, clubs and radio-shows around Europe and once even appeared on Slovakia’s version of Big Brother… OK, no he didn’t!

He did however win the Jim Beam DJ contest in 2002 and became the proud owner of a brand spanking new pair of Technics turntables. In the same year he saw his first ever release on vinyl, DJing at the record’s release party in ST Petersburg. In the last two years his musical output has been picked up by many more of D&B’s bigger names, Trace has picked up ‘Sposbob’ and ‘Elektrina’ for DSCi4, Micky Finn has grabbed ‘H2O’ for his massive new Urbanism project and DJ XO has snapped ‘Musik’ up for Xposure Records.

But enough of that boring stuff, let’s tell you a bit more about L Plus ‘the man’, he enjoys eating oranges although his favourite food is Steak Tartare, his favourite colour is Steel Blue and he doesn’t know any Slovakian jokes. Despite his lack of Slovak slanted smile makers, he assures us that he could easily take on a tiger in an office environment armed only with a cricket bat; which is good to know.
