Aaron Simpson is a born and bred Drum & Bass DJ, raised in the forest by Jamaican wolves (lie #1). He began his career in 1999, initially honing his chosen craft heavily influenced by Andy C, Friction, J-Majik and many more, but quickly his own understanding and love for the music shone through in his energetic performances. So accomplished is Sir Simpson that he already has a massive collection of mix CDs under his belt and is in high demand to DJ at events both big and small. His unique selection of intelligent rhythms and liquid bass lines elevate traditional Drum and Bass to new heights and push the genre itself outside the box. Technical skills second to none, his signature sound of musical Drum and Bass is gaining popularity across the world.

Not content with being ‘just a DJ’ though, Aaron spent several years at the top of Tibet’s highest mountain, meditating upon his musical career (lie #2)… Aaron decided to step into the murky world of Drum & Bass production, his first effort to be snapped up is the terrifically Trancey, bassbin busting monster ‘Never Far From Right’ featuring Brian Abbey and remixed by the up and coming Subsonik, a tune which caused Xposure label owner to exclaim “Ooh, that’s really a rather nice tune” when he heard it (lie#3, he actually said “omglikewhoa!”).

Simpson has warmed up dance floors across the west coast for Ed Rush & Optical, Dara, Dieselboy, AK1200, Dillinja, Chris Renegade, and Lemon D, as well as many other heavyweights. He also performs regularly on Seattle’s only Dance Music Radio Station, C89.5 FM, receives plenty of airtime on Australia’s Plastic Age Radio, and is Seattle Powerhouse Next Level’s only Drum and Bass resident. Factor that in with his recent outstanding productions and the future looks good for this talented young rapscallion!
